Everyone in the Brgy fondly calls him Awan, Tito Awan or Lolo Awan. I bet not everyone knows why he is called by that name. He was baptized AUREO in honor of Mama whose second name was AUREA. Now, why AWAN? The chemical symbol for gold is "Au", and gold in Ilonggo is "BULAWAN". It was Nanay ITAK (Petra Hachuela. Nene' A. was she ever married to Lolo Fernando Patino?) who consistently called him Bulawan. It was shortened to AWAN and the name stuck on him. When Toto Joemarie was born, it was the same Nanay ITAK (Abaw, tsuplada, baba-on, magarot - - - daw si ? ? ? ? ? gid. Hahaha, sin-o Mimi ya nag ugot?
